WEIGHT LOSS

My weight loss program combines strength training, cardio, flexibility, and high intensity interval training to help you maximize the amount of fat your body burns both during and after your workout, helping you slim down at a healthy pace. We will build a weekly split that will tie together strength training, cardio and a custom diet plan to help you shed those extra pounds in no time.

 

 

 

HIGH PERFORMANCE SPORTS TRAINING

High Performance Sports Training is a means to an end to promote high-levels of sports performance excellence in all capacities and optimal transfer from specialized and simulated exercises to that particular sport. It enhance pre-determined physical qualities and associated skills deemed necessary for increased success and reduced risk of injury in a specific sport.  We will encompass a wide array techniques (agility ladders, plyometrics, bungee training) that will optimize an athlete’s raw abilities and sport-specific skills – thereby giving them a competitive advantage to be successful.

STRENGTH TRAINING

Strength training is considered one of the most effective ways to burn fat, lose weight and make you look and feel better. It helps increase your metabolism by speeding up your resting metabolic rate in fact strength training can boost your metabolism by 15 percent — that can really jumpstart a weight loss plan.   Strength training also has benefits that go well beyond the appearance of nicely toned muscles such as your balance and coordination and posture. Strength training has shown to boost energy levels and improve your mood as it has been shown to be a great antidepressant, which will help you sleep better and improve your overall quality of life.

POST SURGICAL REHABILITATION

My post surgical rehabilitation program follows specific protocols focusing on individualized treatment interventions with the goal of therapy of returning the patient to optimal strength, function and mobility. I’ll develop specific exercises to perform at home and in the gym to regain your strength, range of motion and flexibility.

Interval Training/ H.I.I.T.

High Intensity Interval Training is great for people who are interested in weight loss, muscle gain and overall strength increases. Interval training is a proven technique to massively boost metabolism and torch body fat. Interval Training increases the amount of oxygen that a person consumes post exercise, and therefore, increases the number of calories that a person burns throughout the day. High intensity interval training is considered to be much more effective than normal cardio because the intensity is higher and you are able to increase both your aerobic and anaerobic endurance while burning more fat than ever before.

NUTRITION

I will build custom meal plans, set macro and calorie goals, help you make better food choices with my nutrition guide and even teach you how to make simple but healthy recipes and meals on your own.

ABOUT ME

I competed nationally, internationally, collegiately and professionally in tennis. As a junior I won 4 national championships and was ranked #1 in Southern California and top 20 in the nation. As a freshman in college I played #1 singles and doubles for UCSB and was the only freshmen in Division 1 to do so that year.
I unfortunately had a career ending hip injury where I had to give up not only my scholarship but the sport I had lived and breathed for over 15 years. I transferred and completed my Bachelors degree from UC Irvine and found my passion for helping people through personal training.
I have been a personal trainer over three years now, I was the Master Trainer at LA Fitness Signature Club in Irvine for two years and over the last year I started my own program out of a private training facility in Irvine working with the high end clientele of Orange County

MY PHILOSOPHY

At the core each person is built alike, however, the specific needs, desires, abilities, rates of development, and methods of understanding differ from one to the next. My approach takes each of these factors into consideration to construct personalized programs best suited for each individual. My programs are designed to instill in each client core training principles of education, performance, & recovery. I challenge clients to push through their comfort level and do what they never thought was possible. I teach the philosophy of ‘Kaizen’ that is based on focused effort to strive for constant and continual improvements in all areas of life.

Individuals who try to take on a fitness program are often overwhelmed by large ambitious goals like significant strength gains and drastic weight loss goals. Intimidated by the sheer ambition of these goals, they are likely to put off actually doing things that will lead them to achieve their goals. Even if they start a program, they are likely to feel snowed under by imagined difficulties and fall off the program.

Kaizen is a more realistic and humanized approach, it takes human nature into account. It breaks down a huge ambitious objective into smaller, more achievable goals, focusing on making tiny, systematic improvements in a constant and persistent manner. Consistency over the long haul is ultimately the key to life-long health and fitness.

I provide accountability to ensure clients stay on track to reach their goals. I challenge clients to push through their comfort level and do what they never thought was possible. I teach my clients that consistency over the long haul is the key to life-long health and fitness. Change happens one step at a time.
